10 Years from Now

In 10 years, I see myself with a big house and a lot of cars. I plan on being a mechanic and having my own clothing brand. I don’t think I would be able to live in such a big house by myself, so I would probably have some friends as roommates. I would love to have a house with a big garage though, whether I live alone or not. The cars in the driveway are a few of my dream cars; a BMW E30, BMW touring, a Ford Fox-body Mustang, and a Chevy C10. I actually already have the BMW E30, so I’m already closer to my 10-year goal. I also want to get a dog and name him “Nemo”. I would love to get a Pomeranian because their small so I wouldn’t have to worry about the space the dog needs, and he would fit in all of my cars without taking up a lot of space. I want to start my brand as soon as possible, hopefully soon after high school.

The Delights of Seeing: Cubism, Joiners and The Multiple Viewpoint

This picture caught my eye because of the way there’s so many pictures, but you can still tell what the picture is supposed to be of.

Shoot on Sight

Artist Statement

Motion Blur

  • Cars are good for motion blur pictures.
  • The ocean can be used to take motion blur pictures.
  • Using a slow shutter speed while taking a picture of a ferris wheel will give you a nice motion blur picture.
  • By using a shutter speed that is slow enough to get the movement of wings but fast enough to get the bird, you can catch the bird flapping its wings.
  • Have someone stand still in the street while everyone walks around them to get a cool picture.

Keith Haring

Untitled Art Print by Keith Haring | King & McGaw

This photo caught my eye because it looks like the figure is playing soccer. The blue circle looks like it’s a soccer ball. The red figure looks like they are kicking the ball and having a fun time. The picture could be trying to tell you to be more active and find something you like doing. If someone saw this picture, they could think that they should go outside and do something they enjoy.

DSLR Camera and Lens Response

  1. Lenses flip the image and the image sensor reads it
  2. Longer lenses tend to be better for sports or wildlife
  3. Shorter lenses are better for landscape
  4. Medium lenses are better for portraits
  5. Higher ISO works better in lower light situations
  6. Lower ISO works better in high light situations
  7. Too high of an ISO will make the picture noisy or grainy
  8. Faster shutter speed is better for action photos
  9. 1/60 second is good for hand held photos without them coming out blurry
  10. A tripod will help keep the camera stable for anything slower than 1/60
  11. Aperture is how big the lens opens up
  12. The smaller the number, the bigger the hole will open up
  13. A larger aperture will give you a shallower depth of field
  14. The focal length(s) and aperture will be on the lens
  15. Cameras have presets for different lighting (daylight, cloudy, flash indoor lighting)
  16. You need to se the correct white balance to tell the camera how it should balance the whites and grays in the picture
  17. The lower temperature works better for indoor lighting or lower light
  18. The higher temperature works better for outdoor lighting
  19. Cameras have different modes to shoot in
  20. Full Auto- is where the camera does everything for you, all you have to do is press the shutter button
  21. Creative Auto- lets you choose brightness and depth of field but still does everything for you
  22. Program)- the camera sets the shutter speed and aperture, while you have control of ISO, focus. and white balance
  23. Tv (Shutter Speed priority)- allows you to control the shutter speed while the camera chooses everything else
  24. Av (Aperture priority)- you choose the aperture and the camera controls the shutter speed and ISO
  25. M (Manual)- you control everything on the camera, shutter speed, aperture, ISO

Read and Write Review

  1. Aperture is how big the lens opens when it takes a picture. Shutter speed is how long the lens on the camera is open. ISO is how much light is allowed into the lens.
  2. You would need to change your ISO depending on how bright the area you’re in is. If its brighter you want a lower ISO, if its darker you want a higher ISO.
  3. In these settings you control the aperture and shutter speed and the camera does the rest of the work.
  4. It’s an auto focus mode.
  5. You need to meter the light to get the right exposure so that your pictures don’t come out too dark or too bright. You want the sweet spot.
  6. White balance is to make sure that the colors in the picture looks realistic.
  7. Depth of field is what the focus of the picture is. Shallow depth of field is when the focus of the camera is in the foreground of the picture. Good depth of field is when everything in the frame is focused.
  8. The way the camera determines what the correct shutter speed and aperture should be depending on the ISO.
  9. It allows the photographer to override the exposure setting to be able to darken or brighten the photo.
